I entered graduate school with a background in community and nonprofit development and with a childhood dream of working in a museum. I am currently dissertating and focus on representations of migration in former Indochina during and after the Vietnam War. Drawing on cultural production and public policy, I want to expand understandings of refugee flight and resettlement while rethinking conditions of sovereignty and statelessness. After graduate school, I hope to continue working at the intersection of policy and culture.
